Coroner IDs Harley-Davidson Rider Killed In Winchester Tractor Crash
Leon Road and Domenigoni Parkway were temporarily shut down Thursday afternoon due to the fatal crash.

WINCHESTER, CA — A Harley-Davidson rider was killed Thursday when his bike collided with a tractor at an intersection in Winchester.
He was identified by the Riverside County Coroner's Bureau Friday as Walter Sallman, 67, of Hemet.
Shortly after 2 p.m., the crash occurred in the area of Leon Road and Domenigoni Parkway, according to the California Highway Patrol. The rider was declared dead at the scene, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department paramedics, and the coroner was called.

According to CHP dispatch, the Harley-Davidson motorcycle was driving at an unconfirmed speed when it crashed into the farm tractor. The circumstances that caused the crash were not immediately clear.
No other injuries were reported.

The intersection was partially shut down as a result of the collision.
