Menifee Motorcyclist Killed In Murrieta Road Crash

The 30-year-old man died at the scene.

MENIFEE, CA — A man killed in a crash Thursday evening in Menifee was identified by the coroner as a local man.

Daniel Cantor Gonzalez, 30, of Menifee died at the scene of the two-vehicle crash that was reported at 6:50 p.m. on Murrieta Road, about 100 feet north of Farmington Road, according to the coroner.

Gonzalez was riding a motorcycle northbound on Murrieta at an unconfirmed speed when the driver of a Dodge Ram going southbound turned to go east on Farmington, according to reporting from City News Service.

The motorcycle struck the pickup's passenger side.

The Dodge driver was not hurt nor arrested, according to the CNS report.

During the crash investigation by Menifee police, Murrieta Road was closed in both directions between La Piedra and Holland roads.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information was asked to contact Menifee PD's Traffic Unit detectives at 951-723-1690.
