Woman, 60, Brutally Beaten In Attack In Riverside

Now, police are looking for those responsible.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA - A 60-year-old woman was hospitalized Tuesday morning in critical condition with injuries she suffered in an attack at a park in Riverside.

Police found the woman, identified by her family as Susan Wagner, at Doty Trust Park at 5410 Golden Ave. about 11:30 p.m. Friday, according to Officer Ryan Railsback of the Riverside Police Department.

Wagner was semi-conscious when police arrived and had suffered injuries consistent with an attack, Railsback said.

Her son, Chase Wagner, told ABC7 his mother, who suffers from a mental disorder and is disabled, left the family's home about 8 p.m. for a walk near the park and was found by a neighbor more than three hours later.

Susan Wagner suffered a brain bleed, fractured skull, neck and ribs, he said.

A description of the suspect or suspects was not immediately available and a motive was not disclosed.
