2 Hospitalized In Napa Rollover Crash

Police said an investigation was continuing into the crash that shut down Hagen Road for several hours.

NAPA, CA — An investigation was continuing into the cause of a recent early-morning rollover crash in Napa that left two people injured, the Napa Police Department said.

The adult driver and a child passenger were hospitalized with moderate to major injuries suffered in the solo-vehicle crash that happened shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday on Hagen Road between Silverado Trail and Old Coach Road, police said.

Patrol units with the Napa Police Department responded to the incident alongside the Napa Fire Department and American Medical Response and found one car overturned in the roadway with the adult and child still inside the car.

As the patients were taken by ambulance to a local hospital, the Napa Police Department’s Reconstruction Team — a multidisciplinary team with specialized training and equipment—responded and took over the investigation.

The road remained closed in both directions for five hours while the accident scene was processed.

Preliminary information indicated only one car was involved and the driver was heading north on Hagen from Silverado Trail when the car overturned.

The cause of the crash, including whether drugs or alcohol were involved, was still under investigation.
