Anderson said the sessions will prepare volunteers for this year's Songbird Clininc and baby bird rescue, which runs from mid-April to September -- or until all the babies have been raised and released back to the wild.

"We are a volunteer-based organization dedicated to the rehabilitative care of injured, ill, or orphaned wildlife in Napa County," Anderson said. "We are currently at a critical need for volunteers, which are needed to help feed and care for the many baby birds in our care."

Anderson said the program is "a wonderful opportunity to give back to nature by helping us to care for these very special wildlife patients."
