2024 Napa Valley Visitor Guide Honors Area's Pioneers
The guide pays tribute to Napa Valley pioneers Robert Mondavi, Charles Krug, Louis Martini, Warren Winiarski and others.
NAPA VALLEY, CA— He planted the first region's first grapevines while she was the first winemaker. He was George C. Yount, often referred to as Napa Valley's first Euro-American settler, who arrived in 1831, while she was Hannah Weinberger who in the early 1880s became Napa Valley's first female winery owner and female winemaker. They are among the "trailblazers" recognized on page 22 of the 2024 Napa Valley Visitor Guide.
The official guide was unveiled Dec. 20 during a holiday party held annually at the Napa Valley Welcome Center by Visit Napa Valley, the destination marketing organization for Napa County.
The guide covers all of Napa Valley including the towns of Calistoga, St. Helena, Yountville, the City of Napa, and American Canyon, and serves as a valuable source of inspiration for visitors, both domestic and global, and proves to be an excellent resource for local residents, too.
