Deputies assigned to Lake Berryessa were dispatched at 5:30 p.m. to reports of the brawl at the Oak Shores Day Use Area along the lake's western shore. Upon arrival, they found multiple people injured and a large, chaotic scene, Wofford said.
Deputies found one person βGarcia β suffering from gunshot wounds. Deputies administered CPR but his injuries were too severe. Garica was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other patients suffered injuries from stabbings and punches and were treated at various Northern California hospitals. Two of the three patients were flown by helicopter to local hospitals.
The Napa County Major Crimes Task Force β comprised of detectives and investigators from all the Napa County law enforcement agencies including the District Attorney's Office, Napa Police Department, California Highway Patrol, St. Helena Police Department and the Calistoga Police Department β was called to the scene to assist with the investigation.
The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office's Helicopter, "Henry-One," assisted with the initial response.
The Napa County Sheriff's Office's Detective Bureau, which is leading the investigation, learned that during the fight between the two groups, one person got a gun from their car and then shot and killed Garcia.
That person left the scene in a car but was detained just north of the lake and was one of two patients flown to a local hospital.
"That individual is being detained while being treated at the hospital," Wofford said. "For facility security and the security of the detectives detaining the person, the name of that individual and location of the hospital is not being released at this time."
Once he is booked into the county jail, which is expected to be in the coming days, his name and mugshot will be available, Wofford said.
Because the Oak Shores area is a large picnic area with multiple users and witnesses, the sheriff's office detectives are asking for the public's help. Any witnesses who may have captured a cellphone video of the melee are asked to contact Napa police detectives at 707-253-4504.
