Brenda Knight to Step Down from NVC Board of Trustees

After seven years of unfailing service on the Board of Trustees of the Napa Valley Community College District, Trustee Brenda Knight is stepping down in order to devote more time to other commitments in her professional and civic life. 

She leaves the board with one year remaining in her current term representing District 3, an area of the district which includes American Canyon.

The Trustees will formally address her resignation at their regularly scheduled monthly meeting at the college on Thursday, Oct. 10 and will discuss the process of selecting a new Trustee to represent District 3.

Ms. Knight wrote in her letter of resignation to the Board of Trustees that “serving with the board has been an experience that has helped me to grow.  I will continue to be an advocate and provide leadership to students in promoting success in higher education….and ensure that they receive the education they so richly deserve.”
