Crash Knocks Out Power, Closes Silverado Trail In Napa
Power was knocked out for 2,445 PG&E customers in Napa when a vehicle hit a utility pole Thursday night.

NAPA, CA β Silverado Trail was closed overnight after a crash Thursday night sheared a power pole, closing streets and knocking out power for thousands of residents and businesses in the area, according to reports from utility and police officials.
A driver crashed into a pole in the area of Silverado Trail and Sousa Lane at about 9:30 p.m., PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.
The pole was knocked over held up by the power lines, Guidi said. Power was knocked out for 2,445 PG&E customers.

PG&E crews were in the area making repairs, Guidi said, but he did not have an estimate when the repairs would be complete.
Napa police advised residents via Twitter just after 10 p.m. to avoid the area of Silverado Trail between Saratoga Avenue and Fairview Drive.

Police said Sousa Lane was also closed between Soscol Avenue and Silverado Trail.
Streets were expected to remain closed in the area until 5 or 8 a.m., police said.
Police Thursday night did not immediately return requests for more information about the crash.
At 8:42 a.m. Friday, police said Silverado Trail had been reopened.
Friday morning, it appeared service had also since been restored to all affected PG&E customers.
