Updated: Flash Flood Watch In Effect For North Bay Counties

Heavy rainfall, particularly in the North Bay, is expected over the next several days and may lead to flooding.

UPDATE 3:00PM-

Emergency responders from the Bodega Bay Fire Protection District on Thursday responded along with Bodega and Valley Ford Volunteer Fire Departments for two victims stuck in flood waters, according to a Fire District Facebook post.

Two swift water technicians were sent out to rescue the victims, according to the information, and the victims were safely removed from the flooded roadway.

Napa Police Tweet/Road Closed: "Traffic alert issued approximately 2:30 p.m. A power line is down across Oak Knoll Rd @ the bridge between Big Ranch and Silverado Tr. PG&E en route. No estimated time for reopening the road."

Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety: "Rohnert Park Expressway from Redwood Drive to Stony Point Road is closed due to flooding approximately 12:30 p.m."

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for parts of the Bay Area in effect through Sunday afternoon.

The Napa County Sheriff's Office says flooding is likely in the Yountville area, especially along Oak Circle and Mulberry Drive. Motorists are advised to not enter flooded area.

According to the NWS Bay Area, the Sonoma County Airport reported 1.58 inches of rain during the past 6 hours by 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
