Flood Warning Issued for Napa River

The Napa River near St. Helena could reach flood stage as a result of heavy rain and excessive runoff, the National Weather Service says.

NAPA COUNTY, CA -- The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Napa River near St. Helena, effective from the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 9 until further notice.

A cold front is expected to move through the North Bay today, bringing with it periods of moderate to heavy rain. Therefore, the Napa River near St. Helena is forecast to reach minor flood stage as a result of heavy rain and excessive runoff.

Many rural areas, including some primary roads and many secondary roads, could experience minor flooding, weather service officials said.
