Man Shot Dead In American Canyon, Police Say
Detectives were following up on leads in the fatal shooting and believe it was an isolated incident.

AMERICAN CANYON, CA — A man was shot dead Monday night in American Canyon.
The Amerian Canyon Police Department was dispatched around 7:30 p.m. Monday to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 200 block of Tapestry Lane east of state Highway 29 and found a male who appeared to be a victim of a shooting, police said.
Officers rendered first aid; however, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Napa County sheriff’s detectives and the Napa County Major Crimes Task Force responded and assumed the investigation.
It appeared to be an isolated incident, the police department said.

As of late Tuesday morning, police said a suspect was not in custody and the investigation was ongoing.
"There was one shooter and one victim," sheriff's office Spokesperson Henry Wofford told Patch."We are looking for one suspect and need the public's help to identify that person."
Detectives continued to follow up on leads and asked witnesses or anyone with information related to the shooting to call the Napa County Sheriff's Office at 707- 253-4591 and ask for Detective Rochester or Detective Dameron.
