Napa Assault With A Deadly Weapon Suspect Arrested: Cops

A man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, the Napa Police Department said.

NAPA, CA –A local business owner is being credited with helping police in an investigation that led to the recovery of a firearm and a suspect’s arrest.

A man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, the Napa Police Department said.

Officers on Wednesday afternoon responding to a report of a man with a gun on Solano Avenue found the suspect in a nearby vehicle, police said.

The officers approached a business owner requesting consent to clear a wooded area where they believed the suspect ditched the weapon, police said.

“The gracious business owner gave us permission to have our City Parks crew thin out the area to find the firearm,” the NPD wrote on its Facebook page.
