Napa County Fire Project to Delay Traffic on Howell Mountain Road
Napa County Fire says to expect delays of 5-10 minutes on a six-mile stretch of Howell Mountain Road during the next two-to-three weeks.

NAPA VALLEY, CA -- Napa County Fire says that for next two-to-three weeks, traffic will be impacted on six-mile stretch of Howell Mountain Road due to a fuel mitigation project.
The stretch of Howell Mountain Road is from Pope Valley Road to College Avenue that normally can be drive through in about 11 minutes.
However, delays of about five to minutes should be expected from 10 am to 3 pm daily due to the mitigation project, according to Napa County Fire. Fuel mitigation is essentially eliminating or reducing sources that could add to wildfires, such as excess vegetation.
