Napa County To Host Emergency Preparedness Fair

The event will take place Saturday, Aug. 21 in Napa. The public is encouraged to attend.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — Disasters can strike at any second. If it did, would you be ready? Napa County officials want to make sure you are.

On Saturday, Aug. 21, the county will host its Emergency Preparedness Resource Fair beginning at 9 a.m. at Enchanted Hills Camp, which is at 3410 Mt. Veeder Rd. in Napa.

The public is encouraged to attend — especially as the area moves deeper into fire season.

During the event, those in attendance will learn about:

  • Your evacuation zone
  • County fire updates on preparedness and prevention
  • Emergency alerts/notifications
  • Preparing yourself and family for emergencies
  • Home hardening and defensible space
  • Planning for pets
  • And more!

The event will be hosted by Supervisor Ryan Gregory.

Agencies participating in the event include the Napa County Sheriff's Office, Mount Veeder Fire Safe County, Napa Valley Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD), Napa Community Animal Response Team, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and more.
