Napa County Jobless Rate Ticks Up in July, But Down From 2012

The unemployment rate in Napa County was 6 percent in July 2013, up from a revised 5.8 percent in June 2013, and below the year-ago estimate of 7.8 percent, the state Employment Development Department said today.

According to the EDD, the Napa County rate was lower than an unadjusted unemployment rate of 9.3 percent for California and lower than 7.7 percent for the nation during the same period.
