
The City Clerk is accepting applications for up to nine seats on the Housing Element Advisory Committee. The deadline for submission of an application has been extended to 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013.

The Housing Element Advisory Committee is a limited term committee that will advise staff during the preparation of an update to the Housing Element of the Cityβs General Plan.Β The primary charge of the Committee will be to assist staff in the review, update and prioritization of current policies and programs for meeting the Cityβs housing needs and consider the adequacy of the Cityβs inventory of housing sites.Β Knowledge, experience, and training in matters related to housing, land use, construction, real estate development, neighborhoods or the environment is highly desirable but not required.

The Committee will consist of five to nine members.Β All members must be residents or business owners in the City of Napa. It is anticipated that the Committee will meet four to six times over the next year; time and location to be determined.
