North Bay Fire Debris Removal Info Line To Be Discontinued
Call-in questions will soon be transitioned to county resources, according to state and federal officials.

NORTH SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA — Nearly six months after debris removal operations began for the North Bay wildfires last fall, the state and federal wildfire debris information line will transition call-in questions to county resources as of May 4, state and federal officials said. State and federal partner agencies will continue to support the counties to address the ongoing debris removal mission to expedite survivors'
recovery process.
The current debris removal information number is 877-875-7681. The last day for people to call that wildfire debris removal information line for Lake, Mendocino, Napa and Sonoma counties is May 4 and through that date the number will be staffed from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day.
After May 4, wildfire survivors living in those counties should go to their local county website or contact their county administrator's office for information.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has received a debris removal and management mission from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for Lake, Mendocino, Napa and Sonoma counties.
The mission included the removal of ash and debris from damaged or destroyed parcels in the four-county area.

The Army Corps of Engineers said that since last year it has cleared and returned more than 4,275 parcels to the counties or property owners to continue their recovery efforts.
The Army Corps of Engineers said the large task included moving more than 2.2 million tons of debris.
