Pair Arrested In Chase, Suspected Of Fentanyl Use: American Canyon PD
A man and his passenger in a stolen car showed signs and symptoms of drug impairment, and both admitted to ingesting Fentanyl, police said.
AMERICAN CANYON, CA — Two people were arrested on multiple charges Sunday morning after leading officers on a pursuit in a stolen car, the American Canyon Police Department said.
The chase started around 11:30 a.m. Sunday when an officer tried to stop a black Kia for traffic enforcement as the car was traveling eastbound on American Canyon Road.
The driver of the car, later identified as 29-year-old Augustine Gonzalez of Bay Point, failed to yield to officers; instead, he sped toward Interstate 80, police said.

Officers soon determined the car was reported stolen out of San Francisco.
As Gonzalez continued toward I-80, officers used a PIT maneuver and disabled the Kia on the freeway onramp — preventing it from driving farther.
