• Napa Launches Free Studio For Foodie Startups. Are You Ready? (patch.com) — Aspiring food entrepreneurs in and around Napa can now apply for a free six-week online Food Startup Studio designed to turn home-based or mobile food ventures into brick-and-mortar businesses. The Napa-focused program, run with the Solano-Napa Small Business Development Center, offers weekly classes, one-on-one mentoring, and a tailored roadmap, with applications due Jan. 16.
   

• Eiko's at Napa Oxbow Public Market to close after 11 years (pressdemocrat.com) — Eiko’s is closing its Oxbow Public Market location in downtown Napa at the end of this week after 11 years, citing declining traffic and changes at the market. The Japanese restaurant will keep serving seafood by the pound at its remaining downtown Napa spot, as Oxbow continues to see tenant changes and new concepts emerge.
   

• For Calistoga students, school ID will soon double up as public library card (pressdemocrat.com) — Calistoga Joint Unified students will soon be able to use their existing school IDs as Napa County Library cards, giving them easy access to books, e-resources, and homework help. The partnership, modeled on Napa Valley Unified’s program, lets kids check out materials at branches in Calistoga, Napa, American Canyon, and Yountville and join tutoring, STEAM activities, and other programs.
