Petrified Forest Road Reopens Between Napa, Sonoma Counties
Napa County officials said the roadway, which was closed Thursday because of downed power lines, has since reopened.

SONOMA and NAPA COUNTIES, CA β UPDATED: Petrified Forest Road between Sonoma and Napa counties is once again open to traffic, Napa County Public Works officials reported at 3 p.m. Thursday.
ORIGINAL POST: Petrified Forest Road between Sonoma and Napa counties was closed Thursday because of downed power lines.
There was no estimate when it may open, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office. There were long backups on the rural road and PG&E had not given an estimate as to when the rural road would reopen because crews are busy, sheriff's officials said.

Napa County officials advised motorists to use state Highway 128 to U.S. Highway 101 for access to Sonoma County.
