Police Log: Vallejo Woman Arrested for Suspected Shoplifting

Napa Police say woman took jewelry from Kohl's Department Store.

 

A 36-year-old Vallejo woman was arrested by Napa Police on suspicion of shoplifting jewelry from the Kohl's Department Store in Napa.

Jamie Anderson was taken into custody Wednesday on suspicion of burglary/shoplifting, petty theft, possion of a controlled sustance and possession of glass smoking paraphernalia.

Police said the incident began at about 8:18 p.m. Wednesday, when Anderson entered Kohl’s Department Store at 116 First St. in Napa.

She selected items of jewelry and left the store not paying for them. She drove away from the store on a suspended driver’s license, police said.

Anderson was stopped by NPD officers on Soscol Avene near the Silverado Trail.

Police said Anderson was allegedly found to be in possession of the stolen property, was in possession of a merchandise security sensor, wire cutters and methamphetamine.

Anderson has a history of prior arrests for thefts, police said. Anderson was arrested and booked at Napa County Department of Corrections.
