Police Work To Identify Human Remains Found In North Bay Creek
The skeletal remains appeared to have been at the location for "quite some time," police said.

NORTH BAY, CA — Police in a North Bay city were working to identify human skeletal remains found along a creek trail.
A community member found the remains Thursday west of Interstate 80 in Fairfield in the area of Ledgewood Creek, which is bordered by tract homes to the east and agricultural lands to the west. The citizen notified the Fairfield Police Department and directed officers to the location.
It appeared the remains were in the area for "quite some time," Fairfield police said. The remains appeared to be that of an adult but the gender was not immediately known.

In addition to trying to identify the remains, detectives were also working to determine how the person died.
Detectives found no immediate signs of foul play.

The investigation was ongoing; anyone with information was asked to call Fairfield PD at 707-428-7300.
