Potter Appointed Napa City Manager
Former Napa police chief Steve Potter had been serving as interim city manager since July.

NAPA, CA β Napa's former police chief Steve Potter, who has been serving as interim city manager for the past six months, was appointed to the post permanently last week by the Napa City Council.
Potter took over the interim position in July and previously had a long career with the Napa Police Department, according to a release from the city.
He was appointed to the top job on Tuesday by the city council.

The city also appointed Vin Smith to be its new community development director, starting on Jan. 12. Smith most recently served as planning and building manager for Napa County.
As community development director, Smith will oversee planning, housing, code enforcement, building and parking divisions in the community development department.
