NAPA VALLEY, CA — Silverado Resort, a championship 36-hole golf resort in the heart of Napa Valley wine country, was recently recognized with the Distinguished Golf Destination Award, an annual program conducted by BoardRoom Magazine in partnership with Forbes Travel Guide.

"On behalf of Boardroom Magazine in partnership with Forbes Travel Guide, we'd like to congratulate Silverado Resort for earning Distinguished Golf Destination status," said John Fornaro, publisher of BoardRoom Magazine and CEO of Distinguished Clubs. "Special recognition also goes out to Silverado’s leadership team and its entire staff for their efforts in providing an exceptional golf experience."

According to Todd Shallan, vice president and managing director of Silverado Resort, it is a significant honor for the resort — the region’s only 36-hole golf facility.

"This latest accolade is a reflection of KSL Resorts' enduring commitment to taking Silverado to even higher levels of excellence with a focus on enhancing this landmark property and positioning it as Napa Valley’s premier destination," Shallan said.

Silverado’s 6,793-yard North Course and 6,685-yard South Course offer a challenge for professionals but are also designed to accommodate golfers of all levels.

Previous accolades for Silverado's golf facilities, which are managed by Troon Golf, have included being ranked among Golfweek’s Top 200 Resort Courses and being named the 2022 Regional Golf Course of the Year for Region 4 by the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA).

BoardRoom Magazine's Distinguished Golf Destinations award program is unique to the industry, using a rating system that recognizes the facility, its management and its staff based on a proprietary criteria and validation process.

Most importantly, the award not only honors Silverado for its golf services, facilities and leadership but also for providing an overall exceptional golf experience, said Cody Sherrill, director of club operations for Silverado.

"With an array of high-end services — from top-notch golf instruction to brand new tech-centric golf carts with GPS and Bluetooth music — as well as a stunning setting situated amidst the rolling hills of Napa Valley’s wine country, Silverado offers extraordinary golf experiences for golfers of all ages and aptitudes," Sherrill said. "We are honored to see this reflected in our latest accolade."

Silverado Resort has been a California landmark since 1870 and was originally built as a private estate. Today, the award-winning resort features 345 guest rooms and suites, two PGA championship golf courses, nine tennis courts, three bocce and pickleball courts, three swimming pools, a 16,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, and 70,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
