Storm Dumps More Than Inch Of Rain On Most Bay Area Counties

From Christmas Eve to Christmas Day, well over an inch fell in most parts of the Bay Area.

SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA β€” More than an inch of rain was recorded in eight Bay Area counties Christmas Eve into early Christmas morning, according to the National Weather Service.

From 4 a.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Tuesday in the North Bay, 1.69 inches fell in Napa County, 1.28 inches in Sonoma County and 1.61 inches in Marin County.

In Solano County, less than a half an inch fell.

Weather officials said in the Russian Ridge Open Space in San Mateo County 1.18 inches fell, while 1.4 inches fell on Mallory Ridge in Contra Costa County.

In San Francisco, 1.56 inches was recorded, with three-quarters of an inch recorded downtown.

In Alameda County, 1.39 inches was reported, while in Santa Clara County as much as 1.2 inches fell.

Elsewhere, the storm brought 2.09 inches to Monterey County and 1.31 inches to Santa Cruz County.
