Highway 29 Reopens In Napa County After Tree Falls Onto Pickup Truck

State Highway 29 was blocked in both directions for much of Tuesday.

NAPA COUNTY CA β€” State Highway 29 was reopened as of 6 p.m. Tuesday, Napa County officials said. The roadway was closed for nearly four hours in both directions after a large tree fell onto a vehicle, blocking both lanes.

The California Highway Patrol and CAL FIRE/Napa County Fire responded shortly after 2 p.m. to the incident at St. Helena Highway North and Bale Lane in Calistoga.

Photos showed a white Ram pickup truck with a tree over it in the roadway. The driver was not injured, Cal Fire said on Twitter.

Northbound and southbound SR-29 were closed between Bale Lane and Larkmead Lane. Traffic was diverted onto Silverado Trail.
