Winning MegaMillions Ticket Sold In American Canyon
Check your tickets; you could be $85,000 richer if you purchased a MegaMillions ticket at a certain gas station in American Canyon.

AMERICAN CANYON, CA — Someone was $85,000 richer Tuesday night after purchasing one of two winning MegaMillions tickets, California lottery officials announced.
There were no winning tickets with five of five numbers and the mega number in Tuesday night's drawing to win the jackpot of $165 million. Fortunately, two tickets with five of five numbers, including one sold in the Napa County city of American Canyon, were worth $85,202 each and considered the winners of the drawing.
The five winning numbers were 12, 15, 32, 33 and 53 and the mega number was 24.

In American Canyon, the winning ticket was purchased at Chevron, 401 Napa Junction Road —shown in the Google Maps image below.
The other winning ticket was purchased in Southern California at Michael's Market, 41925 Motor Car Parkway, Suite A, in Temecula.

Another 88,600 winning tickets were sold for Tuesday night's drawing. Three tickets had four of four numbers plus the mega number and were worth $7,869, while 62 tickets had four of four numbers but no mega number and were worth $428.
The fastest way to claim California lottery prizes over $600 is to go to a Lottery District Office. In Northern California, there are district offices in Richmond, Milpitas and Sacramento.
MegaMillions is a multi-state draw game available through 47 lotteries nationwide and known for its big jackpots. The drawings are held at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Friday nights.
The odds of winning five of five MegaMillions numbers are 1 in 12,607,306.
In California, 95 cents of every player dollar goes back to the community through contributions to public schools and colleges, prizes and retail compensation. The California Lottery has generated more than $41.5 billion for California public schools since it began in 1985.
