Woman Arrested For Stabbing Boyfriend, Police Say
The stabbing victim ran into Safeway in American Canyon and asked for help.
AMERICAN CANYON, CA — A woman was arrested on suspicion of stabbing her boyfriend Tuesday in American Canyon, police said.
Officers responded at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday to report that a stabbing victim came into Safeway and needed medical attention. When officers arrived, they found a 30-year-old man on the ground suffering from a stab wound to his lower torso.
The victim told police his girlfriend stabbed him at her house in the 200 block of Knightsbridge Way and that he ran to Safeway looking for help.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, officers responded to Knightsbridge Way and asked nearby residents to shelter in place as they surrounded the woman's home to investigate whether she was still there.

With help from a California Highway Patrol air unit and Napa sheriff’s deputies, officers safely made entry into the house and determined she was not inside.
The area was shut down for approximately two hours while this took place, police said.
Tuesday night, sheriff's deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Genea Pereira, 32, and took her into custody.
Pereira was booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections on suspicion of a domestic violence charge.
Her bail was set at $50,000 and she remained in custody Wednesday, jail records showed.
