Numerous residents in Newport Beach got a rude awakening this morning when they found their car tires had been slashed. Residents reported the incidents to police about 8 a.m. Newport Beach police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe said the 13 vehicles were targeted overnight in the area of Lake and 33rd streets. If you notice suspicious activity in your neighborhood, call 949-644-3717 immediately.
