CDM Student Thankful for a Semester at Sea
Nicholas Ongaro has studied on a floating campus since August.

Nicholas Ongaro is a long way from Corona del Mar, and he's enjoying every minute of it.
Ongaro, 20, a 2009 graduate of , traded in his traditional studies at the University of San Diego this fall for a semester at sea to travel the globe. His educational journey began in August in Montreal, and currently he is traveling from Japan and will arrive in Hawaii on Thanksgiving. Ongaro says he is having the time of his life.
"Semester At Sea has literally given me the world," he said.

Ongaro will go on to visit Costa Rica and Honduras and will wrap up his travels on Dec. 13 in Ft. Lauderdale. Semester at Sea gives students a chance to visit eight to 12 countries in a single semester, perform community service and learn about the world through a unique experience.
Ongaro is majoring in finance at USD and plans to graduate in spring 2013.
