Costa Mesa Overhauls Its Residential Parking Permit Program: Report

City officials said the revised permit program will help ease parking congestion in neighborhoods with single-family and multi-family homes.

COSTA MESA, CA — Residential parking in Costa Mesa will soon come with a price as city officials approved a revision earlier this month to the residential parking permit parking program, the Daily Pilot reported.

The revision will expand permit parking eligibility from residents living in R-1 single-family residential zones to all Costa Mesa residents, the Pilot reported. The city will also start charging an annual fee for permits.

The revamped program will be gradually phased in over 18 to 20 months, the Pilot reported.
