The program was followed by a "First Pitch Ceremony" to kick off OCC's baseball matchup against Irvine Valley College that day. Coast Community College District Trustees and OCC administrators were on hand to present a Board of Trustees Resolution officially recognizing the facility as "John Altobelli Park." Members of the Altobelli family were also present for the dedication ceremony and threw out the first pitch.
