Starbucks Workers Set To Rally In Newport Beach
The rally is the latest step in union baristas' Red Cup Rebellion, according to organizers.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Union Starbucks baristas will take to the streets of Orange County Monday with a rally and march to Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol's corporate office in Newport Beach.
The rally will call for an end to alleged union busting and for the corporate giant to return to the bargaining table with new proposals to improve pay, staffing and scheduling, and to resolve unfair labor practices.
The action is the latest in union baristas' ULP strike that has grown to 2,000 workers from 95 stores in 65 cities nationwide.

"Starbucks executives need to know: wherever Starbucks is, our picket lines will be there too until we win a fair contract and an end to union busting," Barista Layne Hernandez said. "While CEO Brian Niccol made $96 million for 120 days of work and commutes between Newport Beach and HQ in a private jet, baristas like me are struggling to make ends meet."
The demonstration will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday at 700 Newport Center Dr.
