3 Homeless People Wounded In LA Shootings
A man was shot in Panorama City at about the same time a man and woman were shot at the Westlake Metro station.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Three people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles were shot at almost the same time Sunday night. Authorities have not said there is a connection between the shootings.
A 30-year-old man was shot while rummaging for cans to recycle in a Panorama City parking lot, the Los Angeles Police Department said Monday. He was wounded shortly after 10 p.m. near the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Blythe Street, according to the LAPD.
The man was approached by two other men on foot, according to investigators. An argument ensued, and one of the men pulled out a gun and shot several rounds at the victim before fleeing the scene, according to the LAPD.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital with stable vital signs, according to an LAPD dispatch operator.
At around the same time, a homeless man and woman were shot in the Westlake area at the Metro Westlake/MacArther Park Purple Line Station, according to police.

The shooting occurred at about 10:08 p.m. at the Metro station at 651 S. Westlake Avenue. The victims told officers they heard gunfire and saw a man running away from the scene. Then they realized they had been struck by the gunfire, according to the LAPD.
The pair didn't know if the shooter was targeting them.
They were rushed to a nearby hospital with stable vital signs according to the LAPD.
