Brush Fire Burns 1.5 Acres Near Hollywood Reservoir

It took 55 firefighters 39 minutes to stop the blaze's forward progress.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A brush fire burned about 1.5 acres in the Hollywood Hills Monday afternoon. The fire was reported at 3:31 p.m. around 6344 W La Rocha Dr., or just south of the Hollywood Reservoir.

Los Angeles Fire Department sent 55 firefighters to tackle the blaze, and a knockdown was called at 4:10 p.m. Crews remained on scene to perform mop up duty and prevent hot spots from spreading.

No structures were threatened, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire wasn't immediately known.
