Man Found Dead In Metro Tunnel: Police

The man did not appear to have been struck by a train but he may have been electrocuted, according to police.

LOS ANGELES — A man was found dead over the weekend in a Metro tunnel between the North Hollywood and Universal City/Studio City stations, according to authorities.

Transit officers saw the man Saturday trespassing on the Universal City/Studio City platform and tried to stop him, but the 30-year-old fled on foot into the B Line tunnel, where he was later discovered dead, police said, adding the incident occurred around 2:50 p.m.

The man did not appear to have been struck by a train but he may have been electrocuted, according to police, who said the death remained under investigation.
