North Hollywood Man Killed In Double Shooting Identified

Police are still looking for the killer.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — The coroner's Thursday publicly identified a 30- year-old man who was killed in North Hollywood in a shooting that left a second man wounded and a third on the run.

Mischa Pinchuk of North Hollywood died at the scene of the shooting, which occurred about 10:15 p.m. Monday in the 6400 block of Denny Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired at Denny Avenue and Victory Boulevard, where they were flagged down by someone who said someone had been shot at a nearby residence, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Officers went inside and found the victims, both suffering from gunshot wounds. The surviving victim, a 23-year-old man who was shot in the mid- section, was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover, according to the LAPD.

Police said a 45- to 50-year-old man had gone to the home, where he got into an argument with the younger victim. The suspect shot both victims before fleeing on foot, westbound on Victory Boulevard.

Police could not be immediately reached to provide an update on the homicide investigation.
