Police Search For Killer In North Hollywood Double Shooting

One man was killed and another man was wounded in a North Hollywood shooting Monday. The killer remains on the loose.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Police said Tuesday an argument led to a shooting in North Hollywood that left one man dead, a second wounded and a third on the run.

Officers responded about 10:15 p.m. Monday to a call of shots fired at Denny Avenue and Victory Boulevard, where they were flagged down by a female who said someone had been shot at a nearby residence in the 6400 block of Denny, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Officers went inside and found the victims, both suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

Paramedics pronounced a 30-year-old man dead at the scene. A 23-year- old man who was shot in the mid-section was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive, according to the LAPD.

Police said a 45- to 50-year-old man had gone to the home and got into an argument with the surviving victim.

"The suspect shot both victims before fleeing on foot, westbound on Victory Boulevard," police said.
