1 Killed, 1 Injured In Northridge Shooting

One person was fatally shot in Northridge late Sunday night.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — One person was killed and another injured in a Northridge shooting Sunday night, authorities said.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call for a possible shooting around 11:55 p.m. Sunday in the 17900 block of Schoenborn St, according to LAPD Officer Norma Eisenman.

Authorities pronounced Daniel Flores, 33, dead on the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner. Another man, 37, was transported to a local hospital in stable condition, Eisenman said.

Police did not have anyone in custody by Monday morning related to the event, but authorities preliminarily believe the shooting was gang related, Eisenman said.
