2 Arrested In San Fernando Valley Burglary

Twice on Wednesday, broad daylight home burglars were quickly arrested, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Two Sherman Oaks burglary suspects were stopped and arrested before they could make it out of the neighborhood this week, the Los Angeles Police Department announced Thursday.

The burglary occurred at a home on the 3000 block of Longridge Avenue in Sherman Oaks at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

"Responding officers observed the suspect’s vehicle in the 2000 block of Coldwater Canyon Avenue," the LADP said in a written statement. "Officers stopped the vehicle, resulting in the arrests of two burglary suspects."

Police arrested 22-year-old Keyshawn Isom and 24-year-old Damond Collier, both residents of Los Angeles. Their bails were set at $50,000.

Detectives connected the two suspects to another burglary in the West Los Angeles area, according to the LAPD.

The case was one of two daytime home burglaries in the area that ended in arrests Wednesday, according to police.

Police chased and arrested four suspects in connection with a Cheviot Hills burglary Wednesday when a resident interrupted a group of burglars breaking into his home.

That break-in happened Wednesday around 2:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. A man was in his home when he heard the sound of shattering glass and went downstairs to find himself face-to-face with a trio of men dressed in dark clothes standing outside his shattered window.

The suspects fled, and police spotted their vehicle and chased it to West Los Angeles where it crashed into the back of a parked box truck, according to the LAPD. Police set up a perimeter and arrested four suspects ranging in age from 18 to 29.

On Friday, police arrested yet another burglary suspect in Bel-Air.
