2 Officers, Civilian Injured in 3-Car Crash
Accident closes Plummer Street at Mason Avenue.

A Los Angeles police cruiser was among three vehicles involved in a crash today in Chatsworth, injuring two officers and one civilian.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m. on Plummer Street at Mason Avenue, Officer Cleon Joseph of the Los Angeles Police Department said. The police cruiser was answering a call when the accident happened.
"Two officers were in the squad car and one civilian was also treated,'' Joseph said. All three people were taken to hospitals with minor injuries, he said. The cause of the crash was under investigation.

At about the same time a police officer crashed his motorcycle into a vehicle in Van Nuys, police and city fire officials said.
The crash was reported at 4:35 p.m. on Saticoy Street, east of Van Nuys Boulevard, Sgt. Mitzi Fierro of the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The officer was taken to a hospital in fair condition, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Matt Spence said.
