2 Shot Near 101 Freeway, Gunman At Large
Two men were shot when the stopped to check their vehicle under a freeway overpass in Encino Thursday morning.
ENCINO, CA — Two men were shot while stopping to check their tires under a Ventura (101) Freeway overpass Thursday morning, and their shooter remains at large, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The shooting happened at Hayvenhurst Avenue beneath a 101 Freeway overpass in Encino just after 2 a.m., said LAPD Officer Charles Miller.
Officers responded to the scene and located the victims - both men in thier 30s, said Miller. They were transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

The gunman had already fled, according to police. Despite reports that the shooter was attempting to rob the victims, there is no evidence that the motive was robbery, Miller said.
The suspect was described as a man between the ages of 35 and 40.
