405 Freeway Brush Fire In Granada Hills Doused

The fire scorched an acre of light brush burning on a steep slope east of the San Diego (405) Freeway.​

LOS ANGELES, CA — Firefighters made quick work of a small brush fire in Granada Hills Monday amid red flag conditions.

The blaze broke out just before 4 p.m. alongside the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway at Rinaldi Street in Granada Hills, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire scorched an acre of light brush burning on a steep slope east of the 405, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz. Within minutes, crews had the flames extinguished.
