1: Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Winnetka will hold their Vacation Bible School from July 29 to Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon. Children through 6th grade are invited to meet Curly Wolf and the citizen's of Buzzard's Breathe and learn songs, Bible lessons, play games, make crafts, enjoy snacks and meet guests! There will be a line dancing class offered for children 3 to 6 grade from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for $12. There will also be a huge Silent Auction with over 80 items to bid on available all week long.

4: From July 29th-Aug. 2, LAPD Devonshire PALS is collecting supplies to help send local kids back to school with the items they need. They are collecting school supplies for elementary, middle school and high school students including but not limited to; notebook paper, folders, pens, markers, glue sticks, binders, spiral notebooks and crayons. Items can be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thanks you supporting our PALS kids as we make 2013 the best school year ever.
