50 MPH Winds May Hit Northridge Area Tuesday: NWS

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Northridge will see winds between 20 and 30 miles per hour on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service for Los Angeles and Oxnard.

Isolated gusts could reach up to 50 miles per hour, according to NWS. The wind advisory started at 3 a.m. Tuesday and will last through 2 p.m. The advisory is also in place for the Santa Monica Mountains Recreational Area, Santa Clarita, Acton, Mount Wilson, Sandberg, Woodland Hills, Burbank and Universal City.

Residents are advised to secure loose outdoor items and drive with caution, especially in high profile vehicles, according to NWS.

Northridge will see temperatures reaching over 80 degrees by 12 p.m. Tuesday and reaching as high as 86 degrees by mid-afternoon. The day should cool off around 7 p.m.
