Attempted Kidnapping Reported at Chatsworth Oaks Park
A pair of hikers make it to safety Saturday, but police are unable to find the suspect.

Two women managed to escape an attempted kidnapper on a Chatsworth Oaks Park trail on Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The women were on a hike in the vicinity of Baden Avenue and Plummer Street around 8 p.m. when a man grabbed one of the females and tried to drag her behind some bushes, a community alert read.
They were able to flee and alerted the police, who were unable to locate the attempted kidnapper.

The male is said to be between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-8, weigh about 170 pounds and is clean shaven. He's reportedly between 40 and 50 years old.
Police urge caution when hiking local trails. If anyone has any information about the suspect, contact local detectives at 818 832-0609.
