Austin Beutner Has a Plan to Fix the Broken City

Austin Beutner, a mayoral candidate, investment banker and former volunteer deputy to Mayor Villaraigosa appeared recently before a packed room at the Valley Alliance of Neighborhood Councils (VANC).

VANC is an alliance of the 34 Neighborhood Councils in the San Fernando Valley. There are almost 100 Neighborhood Councils across the city.

Beutner's appearance was the first in a series of meetings to which each of the candidates has been invited.

Paul Hatfield writes in his Village to Village blog that Beutner didn't dodge any of the tough questions as he explained why the city was broken and how he proposes to fix it.
