A father and his 10-year-old son were found dead in Chatsworth Tuesday evening.

CHATSWORTH, CA — Authorities identified the father and son found dead in Chatsworth Tuesday.

Jose Romo Guerra, 35, and his son Michael Romo Sandoval, 10, were found dead in Chatsworth Tuesday evening, according to the Los Angeles County Examiner-Coroner. The cause of death remains unknown, according to police.

Police responded to a call around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the 21000 block of Plummer Street, the Los Angeles Police Department said. The two were pronounced dead on the scene.

Police suspected the incident could be a murder-suicide and investigated the incident as a homicide, KTLA reported.

The father and son were found outside a vehicle after family members arrived at the scene and removed the bodies from the car, CBS Los Angeles reported.

No weapons were found at the scene, KTLA reported.
