Bishop Alemany High School Alumna Selected for Television Academy Foundation Internship Program
Athena Rethis to Intern in Production Management this Fall

Bishop Alemany High School alumna Athena Rethis has been selected for the prestigious Television Academy Foundation Internship program. She is one of five students chosen by Television Academy members for the 2025 Fall Internship Program. The Foundation offers paid internships at top Hollywood studios and production companies annually to college students nationwide.
Rethis is currently a senior at Loyola Marymount University majoring in writing and producing for television. She is a production management intern this fall at Reverie Content in Los Angeles, CA, through the Foundation’s program.
“It feels both surreal and gratifying to be chosen by Television Academy members,” said Rethis. “To know that the same individuals who shape creativity and excellence in television see potential in me is incredibly motivating. I feel both honored and inspired to rise to the responsibility of this opportunity.”

“I’m most excited about gaining hands-on experience in production management and seeing how ideas are transformed into finished projects behind the scenes,” said Rethis. “Working with Reverie Content will give me the chance to collaborate with professionals whose creativity and vision inspire me. I’m eager to learn, contribute, and carry these lessons into my own work.”
“My ultimate goal is to be a writer, director, producer, and showrunner, creating original series that blend comedy and drama while highlighting underrepresented voices,” said Rethis. “I also hope to eventually run a theater/production company that develops work across TV, film and theater.”
